Paul Nicholls, the leading trainer in the United Kingdom, is going all out to fill the only gap on his magnificent training CV.

The Somerset-based handler has won just about every major prize in National Hunt racing in Britain, but there is one prize that has so far eluded him, the Grand National.

In an effort to achieve a Grand National success, Nicholls has made no less than ten entries for the 2011 running of the Liverpool marathon and unsurprisingly he looks to hold a strong hand and his charges could well dominate the Aintree Grand National betting

When you have a team of horses as strong as Nicholls you will tend to have fancied runners in most of the big races, but by entering ten in the National it should see the master of Ditcheat go to Aintree with his best chance ever of landing the big one. Niche Market has joined the champion trainer with the National as his main aim. The marathon trip will be right up his street and he has been targeted this season with the National in mind, having a lovely racing weight of 10st 13lb, will surely run a big race.
