Your invite to celebrate the Royal Wedding tomorrow on Raceclubs.com.

The Royal Wedding 2011 Races

RaceClubs.com will be commemorating the Royal Wedding 2011 with a day of racing in honour of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton on the 29th April, 2011 with races sponsored in excess of £1,390.

Royal weddings capture the imagination of the public as they represent the highest ideals of romance, commitment and marriage. Every girl dreams of meeting her Prince Charming and every man tries to fill that role when he meets the girl of his dreams. It’s equal parts of childhood fantasy, idealistic romance and media spectacle all rolled into a moment in time when one private kiss between a prince and his bride unites the entire world for a split second, or maybe just that special day but hopefully for an eternity.

A bride’s wedding day is one day when she hopes to be treated like a princess. The 29th April, 2011 is one day when Catherine Middleton expects to feel as special as any bride when she exchanges vows with Prince William, her future husband and the future King of England. This Royal Wedding will unite both the young prince and his bride as a couple before the world.

To commemorate this special occasion, RaceClubs.com will be scheduling all Grade 1 races as Royal Wedding 2011 races with added £1,390 sponsorships on the 29th April, 2011 in honour of the royal couple as they celebrate their wedding day.

In addition to being a day when the virtual horse racing community can pay tribute to the Royal Couple and be included in the proceedings, it will also become a souvenir of the day when the virtual horse racing community raced in the same circles as royalty.

Graham Clifford has a funny Easter Egg story that caused a fury in New York!

Easter Egg fury in New York

An Easter egg decorating assignment at a Queens school ended with a special education student in handcuffs. The mother of the 7-year-old said her son was treated like a criminal, but school officials stand by their decision.

Little Joseph Anderson told CBS 2's Dave Carlin on Thursday said his wrists still hurt from the handcuffs. “They handcuffed me and they picked me up and they took me to the ambulance,” Anderson said.

The cuffs were put on him at school by police after he admittedly threw a tantrum over during an Easter egg activity in his first-grade classroom.

“I wanted to color my Easter egg again so my mom could know how nice was it. But Ms. Kate wouldn’t let me so I jumped on the table,” Joseph said.

He said the school employees at P.S. 153 in Queens told him he’d be taken to the hospital if he didn’t calm down. That made him more agitated. His mother was called, but police arrived before she did, slapped Joseph in on handcuffs and took him to an ambulance. He screamed for his mother, Jessica.

“I wanted to sit on the seat and the guy say I’m gonna get the needle,” Joseph said.

“They treated him like a perp,” his mother added. “All he wanted was his mother and he’s treated like a common criminal,” said family attorney Robert Nicholson!!!

Win £600 Candy Coated Easter Races!

Americans and the British  love Easter candy so much that national retailers are doubling their floor space to meet the demand for Easter treats. According to the National Confectioner's Association, we ate  over 7 billion pounds of candy last year; including 700 million marshmallows, 12 pounds of chocolate per person and enough jellybeans to circle the globe. That’s a lot of candy!

Horse racing might have all the great races but they also deserve a holiday that includes candy and celebration. You wouldn’t normally associate horses with Easter because it’s always been the Easter bunny’s turf, just like Christmas is from Santa’s side of the tracks and Valentine’s Day is only found in Cupid’s stable. The only problem with celebrating horse racing with a candy is that candy is really bad for you, and horse racing is notoriously disciplined when it comes to maintaining an ideal racing weight through disciplined training and a diet that borders on diuretics and deprivation.

We’re not going to sugarcoat it for you but candy can be the worst handicapper when it comes to horse racing. Easter candy and horse racing just don’t mix if you’re trying to keep your weight down in order to maintain the competitive edge in those high stakes races. Which is why we think Raceclubs.com has cottoned onto a great idea by offering the online horse racing community an Easter eggstravaganza worth £600 in candy coated Easter races?

Raceclubs.com virtually reinvented horse racing ten years ago by simulating horse racing through an online gaming experience that could be viewed through their patented 3D RaceViewer. Now Raceclubs.com is reinventing Easter, for horse lovers and chocolate lovers alike, by introducing a sugar free alternative to Easter candy and cavities with the £600 Candy Coated Easter Races.

The Candy Coated Easter Races deliver exactly what they promise; they’re the stickiest, sweetest horse races with more calories in their sponsorships than any candy bar and more excitement than any hunt for Easter eggs. Raceclubs.com’s Race Programmer has sugarcoated four daily division races with £600 crunchy caramelized cash sponsorships that just melt in your mouth and drop straight to your hips (assuming you keep your wallet in your back pocket) before spurring your horses straight into the Winner’s Circle!

So how does it work? Raceclubs.com created an online virtual horse racing community where you are a horse owner who must compete against other online stables through virtual horse races, you can also buy and sell horses but you must master the skill of training your horses to race at their most competitive level. Raceclubs.com’s Candy Coated Easter Races are a fun races sponsored over the Easter weekend with £600 cash.

Okay, we agree that it takes a lot to rival anything covered in chocolate but virtual horse racing is a pretty sweet deal considering your Easter horse comes free and you could win $1,000- which buys a lot of Easter eggs!

Candy Coated Easter Racing - Over £600 Added Sponsorships!

Who doesn’t like candy?

We’re not going to sugarcoat the fact that candy is really bad for you but how can anyone resist candy? It’s sticky and sweet and goes down like a treat, it dive bombs through your bloodstream before hitting all those pleasure receptors in your brain. It feels so good that you just want more. Candy delivers the ultimate sugar high and it’s also a super-duper instant energy booster, mood lifter, and it’s legal. But then you crash and burn as your insulin and blood sugar levels take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride from hell until you get your hands on your next delicious candy fix.

Without candy you find yourself tired, listless, irritable, and craving more candy. Your little candy cravings spiral out of control until you get your next fix, then your next and your next and your next. Candy becomes a demon that tears you up from the inside out until you feed it more candy. It’s a vicious cycle that will one day end up with you making a tearful confession on Richard & Judy!

The truth is that candy is a gateway drug to stronger and more powerful addictive substances like heroin. Researchers have proven that candy abuse leads to anti-social behavior in kids. We’re reluctant to say this, but even the race programmer has fought his own demons in his day - all of which he attributes to his uncontrollable desire for candy.

Easter presents us with a moral dilemma on RaceClubs.com. Do we stock the Tack Shop with every single Easter confection from chocolate Easter bunnies wrapped in gold foil, caramel filled Easter bunnies, candy coated chocolate Easter eggs, Easter creme eggs, sticky hot cross buns, and even an Easter ham (glazed with honey!)? Or do we dish out unsweetened Easter granola bars made with organic wild oats and raw nuts? We didn’t think you’d want that either.

Just thinking about it makes our blood boil to a soft ball sugar consistency because we wanted to offer the valued virtual horse racing community something that is sticky, sweet, and scrumptious for Easter without compromising your nutritional and emotional wellbeing. It had to deliver enough instant energy to take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride that would excite you without leaving you feeling burnt out. It also had to be legal but not too healthy that it was borderline boring. Then we came up with the Candy Coated Easter Divisions!

The Candy Coated Easter Divisions are exactly what they sound like. The sweetest, stickiest races you will ever find on RaceClubs.com. There are more kilojoules in these sponsorships than any candy bar and more excitement than any rollercoaster ride. The race programmer has sugarcoated four daily division races with crunchy caramelized cash that just melts in your mouth and drops straight to your hips (assuming you keep your wallet in your back pocket) before spurring your horses straight into the Winner’s Circle! How wicked is that?

Hop those horses into extra instances and the RP will sponsor those too!

We got the video of to prove what makes us a bunch of nutters according to Graham Clifford from the BBC!

Biography: Graham is the sports editor of the Irish Post newspaper in London and has been a broadcast and print journalist for the last eight years working in the U.K., Australia and in his native Ireland. He presents a show on local BBC radio in the South East of England and claims to have Psychic powers. He once caught a falling star and glued it back in space again and is in line to become next King of Greenland!

What a bunch of nutters we are”

Not my words but those of the Dollers Hill stable after viewing the answers to last week’s View from the stands competition! And really after having a look at them it’s hard to disagree with Dollers Hill! The pre-race antics of some of you are truly astonishing. But none more so than that of the derekkw10 stable! Derek wrote “It is stated I think on my profile that if I watch my finals on the toilet, I seem to have a much better finals when I am having poo. And if I don’t, poo happens lol”. Not an answer I was expecting but thanks for sharing Derek! Hope you have more number ones than twos (race finishing positions you understand!). With 10 wins in challenge finals there appears to be nothing wrong with your bowel movements Derek! I particularly enjoyed the post by Hermitage Kennels who wrote “I always click the volume gauge with the cursor. I check that it's set to 33 (I dunno, think I've a touch of the OCDs) which it is because it's always set to 33. If it's a big race (levels G2 for me), I load the race, pause before the stalls open and go out for a cigarette to calm the nerves first.” Well Hermitage if that’s not a case of obsessive compulsive disorder I don’t know what is! What happens if the volume gauge is at say 32?! Dark Star stables told us about his eating habits during races while Brisflyers makes sure he has a good time watching races regardless of the result! But the winner of last week’s View from the stands competition is Nacho Libre who wrote “I sit on my chair the wrong way round and pretend I'm the jockey riding home my winner!” What an image you paint Nacho Libre! Actually I think Raceclubs should make it compulsory that all owners must watch races this way! I hope the jockey you’re impersonating Nacho Libre is Charlie Saxon and not Diane Hall or else you might fall off the chair! Thanks to all for your entries and don’t miss this week’s competition.

Sky Castle stable has the LAST laugh!

Over feeding his virtual ggs, whispering in their ear that “slow and steady wins the race” and inserting bars of gold into the pockets of the unsuspecting jockeys who ride his horses – these are just some of the deliberate tactics now utilised by the Sky Castle stable. Not only does he want his horses to lose races but he wants them to come last and by as big a length as possible! Why? well after Raceclubs April Fools Derby day last week Sky Castle was the biggest loser and one of the biggest winners! A Raceclubs wrote “The highlight of the day though, and who we feel deserves some extra credit just for his utter patience in waiting for his horse to come home, is ‘Sky Castle Stables’. His Colt ‘Amibadenough01’ casually strolled in a sleepy 23.18 lengths behind the winner in a ‘Maiden Juvenile’ race. Sky Castle, we’re doubling your bonus credit allocation for the race.” Have you considered tying their legs together Sky Castle stables!

Come on Baby Charlotte – you can do it

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Bigboysteve and Sarah at this difficult time as your little baby girl Charlotte receives treatment at the RUH in Bath. I know all of raceclubs are thinking of the three of you and hope you are all home soon, safe and sound.

Stanchester – messing with my head

Maybe some of you know the answer to this but what really is the story with the Stanchester stable? To mock the inquisitive uninformed plebs like me the yard even has a horse called “red or blu”! Stanchester are you a Man United or Man City fan or perhaps neither! The plot thickens when you spot other horses in the yard named Wolves FC and Blackpool FC! My heads in a spin, Stanchester come clean! Incidentally the stable, which opened in September last year, is heading for its 100th win and is quickly getting a reputation as one that’s definitely going places.

And the winner of the Grand National is…

Barry White, an inveterate gambler and a Liverpool cab driver picked up a well-to-do oriental businessman from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

On the trip to Aintree racecourse he told Barry that he had flown over from Hong Kong to back one of the horses he owned in the big race that day. The horse's trainer had told him that this was "the really big one" and he was positive the horse would win the Grand National Steeplechase at a hefty price.

Barry, being an obsessive gambler, couldn't wait for the businessman to tell him the name of his runner.

After he had paid the fare, Barry was slipped a note with the horses name: ??????

And my tip for the Grand National

Tidal Bay 33/1 – each way perhaps!! Good luck with your punt!

Championship winner tells us what they enjoy most on Raceclubs.com besides just winning money!

Challenge Series Interview with Bonnybrook Farm

What sparked your interest in Virtual horse racing?
I chanced on the RC website one day and thought it might be fun to try…

What do you look forward to most when playing on Virtual horse racing?
Watching races. I like the enhanced viewer with its various view options and sometimes even watch a whole race in slow motion. That enhances the tension, but also has a relaxing beauty to it. Good with a long drink.

How does playing on Virtual horse racing compare to real horse racing?
There are fewer variables in virtual racing but in broad terms it’s similar, with horses of varying quality and characteristics, and trainers dealt a hand and responding with more or less skill. Just as in real racing, some of them are wealthy enough to absorb the cost of bad luck or judgments and others not.

Tell us about your first winner and your other top horses.
My first winner and only horse for several months was Frangipani Mist, who won her second race. Along with helpful people on the forums, FM taught me the game. When I felt I knew enough, I bought a second horse and since then I’ve usually had around ten, give or take a few, buying from the ring at a slow rate with credits. Keep on like that and good ones will come along. My top three at time of writing have been Runaway Nun, who was just short of challenge class, Fleet Signal (see below) and Sweet Mischief (ditto).

Tell us about your best win and why it meant so much.
The best was Sweet Mischief’s win in the March 2011 Oaks. I admit to having been lucky. She had her preferred dry track and Charlie was aboard, but it was a case of a very smart horse able to take her chance.

List some of your top achievements.
My main achievement is probably to have resisted the allure of spending big and fast in the sales ring. That’s not my style. A second achievement --- probably related to the first --- is to be on the profit side of the ledger (for now anyway, and the Oaks certainly helped!).

What do you typically do before a big race?
Imagine various scenarios and hope for the best.

Tell us about your most memorable moments on Virtual horse racing.
Apart from the Oaks win, I recall many races of Fleet Signal, probably the best horse I’ve had on site. He finished fifth in a Nunthorpe Final with Yasmin Chua and fifth again in a Newbury Final. Eventually won a first consolation but deserved a share of glory.

What are your goals for your future racing on Virtual horse racing?
To contribute by suggestions when I can.

What advice would you give to new Virtual horse racing members?
Be patient, learn from the forums and treat the sales ring as you would treat a lottery.

Name the best horse, in your opinion, belonging to a fellow member.
Hmm… Not sure…

What is your favourite real horse racing event?
I love the emotion around the Melbourne Cup and the Kentucky Derby (though I’ve never been to either). Of events I’ve been to, I love the Japanese G1 races.

Are you involved in real horse racing and if so in what capacity?
I’m not directly involved. My Dad had a share in a minor winner in New Zealand.

What are your goals for the future of your stable?
To continue in the same way.

Juliussilas came to Raceclubs.com after poker buddy recommended he try virtual horse racing- he's just won a Challenge Series!

Juliussilas came to Raceclubs.com after a close friend he played poker with introduced me in March 2010 and he says he’s never looked back. After playing for a year he finds he looks forward to the Challenge Finals the most.

Juliussilas says he can’t compare virtual horse racing to real-life racing because he doesn’t see any flat racing at all where he lives. Even though he’s not actively involved in horse racing his favorite race remains The St Ledger. He still remembers his best win was the Challenge Sprint Final with his his 2Y colt, Volcanic Galleon, but he very first win was with his free horse called Madvlad.

If you’re a rookie player, Juliussilas advises all new players to set a budget and use the claiming races to start their stable. If you’re a veteran player be warned, his goal is to enter the hall of fame.

Besides virtual horse racing, Juliussilas’ other big achievements includes being father to 2 boys, playing darts on a semi-professional darts player. His most memorable moment on Raceclubs.com was winning his first Challenge Series races. Now he hopes to win more Challenge Series Finals.

This is where triple double duty champions get lucky on RaceClubs.com!

Triple Double Duty Challenge Series Winners

Winning a Challenge Series on RaceClubs.com requires more skill than luck but sometimes you have to marvel at how some lucky trainers manage to win not one but two Challenge Series races.

Burkveen Racing did exceptionally well with Lucifers Mistress in the Queen Elizabeth Classic Challenge Final and Lightning Burk in the St Leger Challenge Final. Sky Castle Stables when big with Powwow in the King George Classic and White Knighte in the Cesarewitch Challenge Final. Last but not least, Victor Consortio’s Winged Goddess flew through the Nunthorpe Sprint Final while Zephyros won the Classic Challenge Final Juvenile.

While they are all lucky to have won double Challenge Series races, you should also consider that luck is also being prepared for the right opportunity- according to the teachings of Oprah!

This is where you get lucky on RaceClubs.com!

Shotgun Wins Five Titles In RaceClubs.com's £68,000 Challenge Series

Shotgun_mike cleaned-up in the 29th Challenge Series with five additional challenge titles to his credit.

His collection of Challenge Series titles now amounts to 42, excluding the other Challenge Series races his horses only placed in. It’s the kind of success that makes women go weak and men turn green with envy. It’s the kind of success that one loves to hate only because it belongs to someone else’s stable and not your own. It’s the kind of success that everyone joining RaceClubs.com covets. And who wouldn’t covet £51,739 of Challenge Series success. With that kind of money you could give up your day job and employ your kids to train your horses for you.

Unfortunately for Shotgun_mike this was not his best season because five Challenge Series titles pale in comparison to winning the eight titles he won in two previous Challenge Series. In March 2010 he won a total of eight titles, previously he’d also won eight titles in July 2009. His best season the previous season when he won nine titles in November 2010.

His best challenger was Master Of Doom, who he bought from Black Death for £1,200 after the Stayers Challenge Final Juvenile, who went on to win the Nunthorpe Sprint Final and St Leger Challenge Final. Other horses that have won two titles include Daltresse Royale, El Legendario, Elephant Eyelash, Emprise To Avalon, Green Birdie, Master Of Doom, Radiation Vibe and Trust In God.

Shotgun_mike’s best races has been the Classic Juvenile F which he’s won six times, followed by the Cesarewitch C, St Leger F & The Oaks F which he’s won five times each, four wins in the Nunthorpe C, Queen Elizabeth F, Sprinters Juvenile F & Stayers Juvenile F, three titles in the Newbury C & Stayers Juvenile C and two Sprinters Juvenile C & Derby C titles. It’s just a matter of time before he scoops at least one victory in the other Challenge Series races to complete his trophy room- unless you beat him to it!

Shotgun_mike
just won five Challenge Series titles in the 29th season in the Classic Juvenile, Stayers Juvenile, The Derby, Nunthorpe Sprint and Newbury Sprint Challenge Series Finals. And for that he deserves a round of applause!
