If you want to "Add A RACE" to Raceclubs' race program simply click "REQUEST"!

Add-A-Race (Request & Match a Race)

Add-A-Race (Request & Match a Race), as previously announced is a new system of race scheduling to ensure that you get the race that you want more frequently.

We are delighted to introduce this today. Please be aware that it will take a few weeks to implement completely as the daily schedule becomes more demand driven. It will naturally be tweaked and there are phases planned to further develop it.

How does ‘Request & Match a Race’ work (the basics):

Step 1 > Filter normal RACE SCHEDULE as you usually do on a horses ‘Enter Race’ page,
Step 2 > If no race is found, you can REQUEST the race for other stables to MATCH with an eligible horse,
Step 3 > If two or more stables MATCH the race then it is added to the RACE SCHEDULE (given a date & time),
Step 4 > (optional) Use the 'Share' race facility to inform friends and rivals alike about the race.
Step 5 > Race

‘Request & Match’ a race in more detail:

The ‘Enter Races’ Page:
o All race types (Graded and Rated) are available to request except special races, Claimers, Qualifiers and Finals which the programmer will continue to schedule.
o Owners can select races from the available race categories/types only, ie. Handicapping and Entry Fee is determined by the Category selected for which your horse is already eligible for.
o Races are ordered under the headings of ‘Scheduled Races’, ‘Races Requested for this Horse’, ‘Races Requested by Others’, ‘Races not yet Requested’.
o Under ‘Races Requested by Others’ click on the checkbox or MATCH button to select the race.
o Under ‘Races not yet Requested’ click on the checkbox or REQUEST button to select the race.
o Clicking on the MATCH or REQUEST buttons refreshes the page and you don’t go through the basket in entering the horse. The number of runners (including yours in brackets) is updated and the race will move to the ‘Races Requested for this horse’ section.
o Once matched or requested, you may REMOVE the request for the horse prior to the race being scheduled.
o Only Entering Scheduled Races are confirmed through the basket.

Race details for all races that have not been scheduled:
o Requesting, matching and removing works the same as on the Enter Races page, thus refreshing the page and does not go through the basket.

Conditions for the race to be scheduled:
o The race is scheduled after the 3rd eligible horse has been added.
o The system will look over the next 4 days to find the requested going, allocate a track, date and time to schedule the race.
o For Graded races, the system looks 24hrs ahead from the time that conditions are met and works towards midnight looking for an available time slot. If there is no slot available, it starts working backwards, in which case a Graded race request could be scheduled in less than 24hrs.
o The same applies for Rated races except it starts 12hrs ahead of the time that conditions are met.
If the going is not available tomorrow it looks at the remaining days where goings have been declared.
o The entry fee is deducted from the participating stables’ accounts when the race is scheduled.
o Eligibility:
  - The ‘3 Stable’ rule applies - At least 3 eligible horses from 3 different stables are needed.
  - Eligibility includes 3 different stables, sufficient credits to pay for the entry, horse is active and not racing on the day the race is to be scheduled.
  - There may therefore be a higher number of horses who have matched the race but it is not scheduled as there are not at least 3 eligible horses.
  - Current racing rules apply, ie. a horse may race in 1 stakes race and 3 rated races a day.
o If a horse in a requested race becomes pending before the race is scheduled, the horse will be removed from the requested race.

Once a Requested Race is scheduled:
o All other requested races for that horse will be removed.
