Soccer Preview: Does France Have Mexico Wrapped? What were the French doing at the 2010 World Cup? They’ve languished in their own self-importance to the detriment of their game and their team now they’re facing up to Mexico who displays all the fire and passion of South American football stars! Admittedly, Mexico didn’t win against South Africa but their sportsmanship and game play kept the crowds enthralled and the press were delighted while the French have been criticized for their loss of sportsmanship and aging squad. If anything, France’s 2010 World Cup has been a negative experience but hopefully their match Mexico will restore their faded glory in the eye of the world. They need a victory even more than Mexico. Both these teams need this victory to make it into the next round but we think France needs to restore some of their missing luster and will rally together just to restore some dignity to their game. Nobody can accuse Mexico of not playing the game but they’ve also missed opportunities to take ownership of the ball and score the all-important goals. Great game play if great but goals are even more important!
