Soccer Preview: Portugal vs. Côte D'Ivoire 

Portugal pits a great team of internationally regarded players against the almighty Ivory Coast, so expect a great game from highly competitive teams. 

Portugal knows the world will be watching their every move with baited breathe, probably dividing equal coverage time between Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the team so they will expect every players’ undivided attention on the ball. Following Ghana’s impressive scores in the World Cup, the second position for the best African team is open for Côte D'Ivoire step up their game and increase their credibility. It’s probably not going to be a match of that gives Côte D'Ivoire much room to move except to oppose every incoming ball from Portugal. Still, it doesn’t hurt to hope they score a goal against the third best soccer team in the world- especially against the most expensive player in the world! 

Cristiano Ronaldo summed it up best when he said his team has to think about the game against Côte D'Ivoire first before looking forward to the next game. He was FIFA’s player of the year in 2008 and he expects to earn the same title again for 2010.
