Manchester United & Barcelona on the 26th April sees two favorites rivals competing for the ultimate prize!

Enter the European Final WFA

The Manchester United and Barcelona match on the 26th April sees two favorites competing against each other in the finals.

Barcelona are widely regarded as the best team in the world (except in Manchester) following their multiple victories throughout Europe, including 20 La Liga titles, 25 Spanish Cups and three European Cup / Champions Leagues. They may feel confident about their chances of beating Manchester United but feeling confident and actually beating Manchester United are two different talking points.

Manchester United are top contenders, especially after including so back players from injury, and while they’re being modest about their ambitions to win all their matches they’re certainly not considering defeat either. With Sir Alex Ferguson watching every move you can anticipate a hotly contested match between these two rivals.

The virtual horse racing community at RaceClubs.com is well acquainted with all those human emotions which include ambition, rivalry and victory; but less so with injury and modesty, which is why the Race Programmer thought it most apt to rename a race in honour of the European Finals.

Connect The Dots To Better Races!

June 2011

Hi!

We’ve come to the conclusion, after dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s that we are certifiably dotty! The races have been so busy that they’ve literally run us ragged. Everything has been about racing recently, from royal racing, race programming discussions and developmental enhancements but we think it’s all worth the effort if you think so too. See if you can connect the dots through this Tabloid to your next race and win...

Best wishes with all your upcoming races!

The Raceclubs.com Team

Connect The Dots!

Connect the dots and then follow them when entering races to find your horse’s preferred races while it is eligible to enter them. Green dots indicate your previous races while blue dots highlight newer races for your consideration based on your horse’s current eligibility. It’s both smart and simple. Get connected!

Royal Wedding Rocks Virtual Racing

Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton attracted over 1,500 runners to the Royal Wedding races, which helped make it the second busiest racing day of the season. Black Death, dubbed his auctions the “Royal Wedding Auctions” while other less royal spectacles were sent to the gallowsbecause we couldn’t behead them!

Race Programming Revisited

Westfield Gardens has assembled some of the greatest minds in the business of virtual horse racing to debate everything related to programming even bigger and better races for the horses that fill those races. They’re going to need something to talk about so this is where you can post your suggestions!

The Castle Crooks Profile Precedent

Norse Valkyrie is just one feather in Castle Crooks’ cap; his updated profile is another.Tom Castle has created a precedent by becoming the first non-challenge series winner to have his profile page updated to include his personal interests. Spoil your mother in the #MothersDay WFA!

Make your mother proud in the Mother’s Day WFA

Mothers on RaceClubs.com could probably do a better job of racing virtual horses if given half a chance. BR>
They can manage everything from lift-clubs to sleepovers, with or without an assistant, and they could probably run a cleaner stable too. They’ve invested a fair amount of training in you; how to potty, not to wipe your nose on your sleeve or burp in public and to say thank you. RaceClubs.com Mother’s day WFA is your opportunity to show your appreciation by either inviting her to create her own stable or to race your best horses in her honour. (And we’re not implying anything about their weight nor age either!)

Show your mother how you can train virtual horses to win both races and money against other players around the world- from Dubai to Canada and back. Imagine the delight in her voice as she tells all ‘the girls’ how well you are doing with your horses- and allow her to feel a little smug when all the other girls at bridge or macramé classes get a little lemon lipped at how you’ve even named a nice horse after her that did so well in the Mother’s Day WFA.

Virtual horses make wonderful gifts for Mother's Day.

Imagine how proud Mrs. Charcoals Grumpy was to see her son’s colt, Haizum Pegasus, winning the £263.16 stakes in RaceClubs.com’s Mother’s Day WFA 2-7Y C Gr1. And can you imagine the conversational mileage she’ll get when she hears his horse races are even being shown on Facebook and Youtube!

It’s not every Mother who gets to boast about her children being successful horse trainers- but your mother can if you enter the Mother’s Day WFA races on Sunday, 8th May, 2011.

Make your mother proud in the:

#RoyalWedding fever grips Raceclubs according to Graham Clifford!

Biography: Graham is the former sports editor of the Irish Post newspaper in London and has been a broadcast and print journalist for the last decade working in the U.K., Australia and in his native Ireland. He presents a show on local BBC radio in the South East of England and claims to have Psychic powers. He once worked as a body double for Jean Claude Van Damme and represented Belarus in last year’s Eurovision song contest with the song “random factor blues”!

Royal wedding fever grips Raceclubs

Wow, I thought there must have been some mistake. The news story on the Raceclubs forum had the title “1,400 runners competing for $6,378 in Royal wedding races!” – 1,400 runners, is that some kind of record in one day? Fair play to Raceclubs for stumping up the cash in prize money and well done to all of you for entering today’s races. I’m sure the motivation for the huge number of race entries was to be part of the big day, in honour of “Kate and Wills”….or was it just it would have been foolish to miss out on all that dough!? Incidentally has anyone ever thought of asking Camilla to become the Raceclub’s patron? Anyway hope you are enjoying/enjoyed the Royal shenanigans or if you’re not British like me and think the very idea of monarchy is daft enjoy your day off in the sun!

No messing around with Strollers

You can’t beat conversing with a straight talker, someone who calls it as he sees it and doesn’t waste oxygen with his explanations. It was refreshing then to see a line from Mike at the strollers’ stable this week when he offered this wise advice to fellow owners, he said “Shoot rubbish, buy with Bonus Credits and be patient.” If you follow that advice you won’t go far wrong it seems and with almost £15k earned in prize winnings since Mike joined in January of last year he should know the secret to success.

The Royal Wedding 2011 Races

RaceClubs.com will be commemorating the Royal Wedding 2011 with a day of racing in honour of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton on the 29th April, 2011 with races sponsored in excess of £1,390.

Royal weddings capture the imagination of the public as they represent the highest ideals of romance, commitment and marriage. Every girl dreams of meeting her Prince Charming and every man tries to fill that role when he meets the girl of his dreams. It’s equal parts of childhood fantasy, idealistic romance and media spectacle all rolled into a moment in time when one private kiss between a prince and his bride unites the entire world for a split second, or maybe just that special day but hopefully for an eternity.

A bride’s wedding day is one day when she hopes to be treated like a princess. The 29th April, 2011 is one day when Catherine Middleton expects to feel as special as any bride when she exchanges vows with Prince William, her future husband and the future King of England. This Royal Wedding will unite both the young prince and his bride as a couple before the world.

To commemorate this special occasion, RaceClubs.com will be scheduling all Grade 1 races as Royal Wedding 2011 races with added £1,390 sponsorships on the 29th April, 2011 in honour of the royal couple as they celebrate their wedding day.

In addition to being a day when the virtual horse racing community can pay tribute to the Royal Couple and be included in the proceedings, it will also become a souvenir of the day when the virtual horse racing community raced in the same circles as royalty.
