Royal wedding fever grips Raceclubs

Wow, I thought there must have been some mistake. The news story on the Raceclubs forum had the title “1,400 runners competing for $6,378 in Royal wedding races!” – 1,400 runners, is that some kind of record in one day? Fair play to Raceclubs for stumping up the cash in prize money and well done to all of you for entering today’s races. I’m sure the motivation for the huge number of race entries was to be part of the big day, in honour of “Kate and Wills”….or was it just it would have been foolish to miss out on all that dough!? Incidentally has anyone ever thought of asking Camilla to become the Raceclub’s patron? Anyway hope you are enjoying/enjoyed the Royal shenanigans or if you’re not British like me and think the very idea of monarchy is daft enjoy your day off in the sun!

No messing around with Strollers

You can’t beat conversing with a straight talker, someone who calls it as he sees it and doesn’t waste oxygen with his explanations. It was refreshing then to see a line from Mike at the strollers’ stable this week when he offered this wise advice to fellow owners, he said “Shoot rubbish, buy with Bonus Credits and be patient.” If you follow that advice you won’t go far wrong it seems and with almost £15k earned in prize winnings since Mike joined in January of last year he should know the secret to success.

The Royal Wedding 2011 Races

RaceClubs.com will be commemorating the Royal Wedding 2011 with a day of racing in honour of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton on the 29th April, 2011 with races sponsored in excess of £1,390.

Royal weddings capture the imagination of the public as they represent the highest ideals of romance, commitment and marriage. Every girl dreams of meeting her Prince Charming and every man tries to fill that role when he meets the girl of his dreams. It’s equal parts of childhood fantasy, idealistic romance and media spectacle all rolled into a moment in time when one private kiss between a prince and his bride unites the entire world for a split second, or maybe just that special day but hopefully for an eternity.

A bride’s wedding day is one day when she hopes to be treated like a princess. The 29th April, 2011 is one day when Catherine Middleton expects to feel as special as any bride when she exchanges vows with Prince William, her future husband and the future King of England. This Royal Wedding will unite both the young prince and his bride as a couple before the world.

To commemorate this special occasion, RaceClubs.com will be scheduling all Grade 1 races as Royal Wedding 2011 races with added £1,390 sponsorships on the 29th April, 2011 in honour of the royal couple as they celebrate their wedding day.

In addition to being a day when the virtual horse racing community can pay tribute to the Royal Couple and be included in the proceedings, it will also become a souvenir of the day when the virtual horse racing community raced in the same circles as royalty.
