Jennifer Harris has designs on your horses for the Royal Ascot!

Jennifer Harris Has Designs On Royal Ascot

Geraldine Sullivan reporting from the Royal Ascot 2012 reports that Victoria Beckham cuts an elegant figure in her Star Trek, block-colour dress, hands on hips so sharp you could cut your wrists on them, her long hair casually falling over her shoulders, in a braid that looks like she just rolled out of bed looking so effortlessly refined and casually elegant all at the small time. Unfortunately, we’re not speaking to David Beckham’s stylish wife but the decidedly unstylish Jennifer Harris, star jockey on the virtual horse racing circuit at RaceClubs.com.

Jennifer Harris explains, "There’s a small minority of us female jockeys who are more interested in fashion, than dieting to become virtual horse racing superstars, and Royal Ascot gives us an opportunity to express our love of fashion but this year they’ve hired the fashion police to enforce a new dress code that leaves us little choice but wear your silks and ride your virtual horses in the Royal Ascot on RaceClubs.com!"

About 300,000 are expected to attend Royal Ascot and RaceClubs.com’s female jockeys intend to put trainers and their stylish silks on the map. Jennifer Harris was designing her own outfit for the Royal Ascot but was advised that she would be forced to cover up with a pashminas and waistcoat rather expose her flesh on an unsuspecting public.

The Royal Ascot’s new dress code was announced in January to raise the standards of sartorial elegance following criticism that certain ladies were contravening the fashion rules. They’ve been advised that dresses and skirts must fall just above the knee but trouser suits are acceptable attire provided they are full length and of matching material and colour. Hats are compulsory.

Jennifer is most disgruntled that her entire ensemble was shredded by the fashion critics. Apparently, sporting white satin shorts tucked into her exposed midriff is not an appropriate look for the Royal Ascot. She’s decided instead of pursuing a career in fashion she will continue with her career in virtual horse racing in her most elegant jodhpurs and swankiest designer silks ever!

The Race Programmer is delighted that the female jockeys are taking an interest in their appearance, he also felt their standards were dropping a bit, so he’s adding £320.00 to the Royal Ascot sponsorships on Saturday, 23 June 2012. All trainers whose silks are recognised on a female jockey will be entered into a lucky draw to win one of the following prizes:

£38.40 G1 Winner:
£16.00 G2 Winner:
£9.60 G3 Winner:

Plus there will also be two Prive Royal Ascot sponsored with £128.00!
