48 Hour Lead Time To Be Reduced to 24 HoursWhen the first version of RAR was introduced, races were scheduled 24 hours after the first 3 horses requested the race. The 24 hours allows time to attract more runners into the race. This was found to be too short and was extended to the current 48hrs so as to allow time for fuller fields in races. The recently introduced ‘Minimum Runners’ selection on RAR also promotes larger fields and allows these runners to enter a lot quicker. It is good to see that race fields are already 4 horses stronger, on average, in RAR scheduled races compared to pre-scheduled races. There is hence no longer need for the 48 hours delay, so we will be reducing it to 24 hours once again as of 18 July. This will enable you to race a horse even more frequently via RAR.
Minimum 3 Stable Requirement Abolished in RAR’sWe’re abolishing the ‘3 Stable’ rule in RAR scheduled races on the 18th July. Why?... We feel it acts as more of a hindrance to racing than to serve a purpose. The ‘minimum 3 horse’ rule will still apply as it does with all races.
Should you have any concerns regarding any of the above changes, please share them in a constructive manner in the thread posted in the 'Owners Forum'.
