Footie fans are invited to join us in the Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football League. It's a first for us to collaborate off-site - it's going to be fun!

Raceclubs’ Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football League

This is a first for Raceclubs!

Raceclubs is allowing us to enter our stables into The Daily Telegraph's Fantasy Football competition. We will be the inaugural team to enter an offsite competition waving the Raceclubs banner. The rules are simple. Enter a team online and sign-up to the Super League created solely for Raceclubs trainers. Once you have entered a team, drop me an inbox and I will pass the league ID on to you for you to place your team in it. Use your RaceClubs.com stable name so we can identify you! Raceclubs have also given me the go ahead to write articles about the seasonal competition.

So what are you waiting for? Assemble your teams (family, friends or other trainers) and let’s see who knows their football from their blinkers!

Inbox me to obtain the league identity and pin number!

The Competition

The competition is based around "The English Premier League" and runs for the duration of the coming season. Entries are accepted up until kick-off of the first match of the new season (12.45pm 14th August 2010) and there is a transfer amnesty in place which will allow you to chop and change your team as much as you like to cope with any last minute injury news that may have an effect on your chosen elite. The overall individual winner of the competition will pocket a cool £50,000 and who are we to argue that it wouldn't be one of us here at RaceClubs.com. In addition to this there are many seasonal and monthly prizes up for grabs.

By entering your team into our specially set up "Super League" any trainer who enters will have the chance for bragging rights over their RaceClubs.com friends and foes. The beauty of the league is that it will average the top five teams within the league which will count towards the best super league prize issued at the end of the season. We could win £5,000 and will be broken down amongst the top ten teams in our league in this way.

1st 25%
2nd 20%
3rd 15%
4th 10%
5th 10%
6-10th 4%

*only one individual can win a prize
**in the event that an individual has two or more teams in the overall top ten within our super league, the prize will then drop down to the next most successful team and so on

Giving Back To The Community

As a good will gesture to the community I have allocated a fair amount of the bonus credits I have earned from the writing of my articles to the sponsorship of races during this coming season. To start the ball rolling there will be a maiden for colts and a maiden for fillies each week, leading up to the new football season. These races will carry $20 in sponsorship each and will be....wait for it.....Group 2! Yes you read correctly, maidens that will carry guaranteed sponsorship within the G2 spectrum. If these races prove successful then I may consider extending them monthly until the end of the football season or even branch out and include some G2 WFA sponsorship, so keep your eye on the fixtures.

Writing articles has always been a pleasure for me and it's not all about exchanging the paid bonus credits for horses at the beginning of each month. The community as a whole is my number one priority and if I can give a little back then I am happy to do so. Furthermore, it will be a great addition to include and will no doubt be a popular one. So what are you waiting for! We all know there is a bunch of budding "Special One's" amongst us, get involved and prove your credentials!

I have also managed to secure a nice trophy for the RaceClubs.com overall league winner and much like the Premier League trophy, the winner will get to keep it until a new champion is crowned. There will also be articles written to keep the community up to date during the season.

*You do not have to be a member of the fantasy football super league to enter the sponsored races as they are open to all trainers
